Highlights: Wales v Italy

Wales edged Italy 23-20 in an Under-20 Six Nations Summer Series thriller thanks to a late penalty from captain Joe Hawkins at the Stadio Comunale di Monigo.

It was a tense and at times frenetic affair in Treviso, but Wales held their nerve and will now play Pool A winners South Africa for the Under-20 Six Nations Summer Series title.

Nathan Evans and Christ Tshiunza scored tries either side of the break for Byron Hayward’s side while Dewi Passarella, Lorenzo Pani and Federico Cuminetti all crossed for Italy.

The defeat for the Azzurrini means they finish runners-up in Pool B behind Wales and face a play-off for third place with England on Finals Day as Wales bid for silverware against the Junior Springboks.
